Head to Rua de Santa Catarina, a pedestrian street in the centre of Porto, featuring some of the best shopping and culinary areas in the whole city. Then, proceed to the historic Café Majestic to sip coffee and savour custard tarts, a Portuguese specialty. At the iconic Bolhao Market, be greeted by scents of sweet fruit, freshly baked bread and aromatic cheeses. Here, you will come across vendors hawking a variety of fresh produce and homemade wares, and you can sample sardines, cod cakes and fish pâté. <p>Explore the beautiful cities of Braga and Guimarães in Portugal&#8217;s Green Minho province. Head to Guimarães, the first capital of the Portuguese kingdom, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your local guide will take you through its medieval buildings and streets. Stop for lunch at aCozinha, a Michelin star restaurant offering exciting Portuguese cuisine. After lunch head to the city of Braga where you can witness the influence of many Iberian nations over the years. Check out the unique architectural styles, especially the striking Portuguese Baroque. Stroll through the Bom Jesus Complex, a majestic sanctuary with a granite staircase leading to a hill flanked by fountains and Gospel-themed sculptures. Discover the breath-taking landscapes and delectable wines of Douro Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site! Start off from Porto in the morning with a private guide and drive to one of the most beautiful wine regions in the world. You can stop at viewpoints along the way to take photos of the terraced vineyards and rolling hillsides, and go for a wine tasting at the Quinta D´Origem estate. Take a one and a half hour long private boat ride along the Douro River. Sit down for a delicious lunch at DOC Restaurant, which serves dishes that combine creativity and tradition, inspired by the Northeast-Douro region. Continue on to Quinta São Luiz or Quinta de La Rosa and learn how the famous port wine is made. Head back to Porto through the quiet town of Mesão Frio, another lovely destination filled with wineries, large estates and manor houses.</p>

Stop by the 14th century Batalha Monastery, built to commemorate the Portuguese victory over Castile. Travel on to the city of Nazare that has come a long way from its past as a charming fishing village. Afterward, make your way to the medieval city of Obidos with its traditional residences and quaint shopping streets. <p><strong>Day 7 –</strong> <strong>Regatta Yacht trip in Cascais</strong></p>
<p>Off the Atlantic coast of Cascais, a picturesque fishing town, join the sailing boat parade along the bay, heading towards Lisbon. On this 3-hour trip, the guests cooperate so that each of them occupies a key position inside the vessel, therefore getting the most power from the wind and using the features of the sailboat to their advantage.</p>
<p>With the help of a short training session carried out prior to the activity, guests will be apt to adventure on the high seas, always supervised by our “skipper”.</p>

<p>The tour starts with you falling in love with this city once and for all with its charming basalt and limestone pavements and squares along with its varied architecture. The Sé Cathedral, located in the city center, was built in 1514. Surrounding the cathedral are several historic buildings and shops. The Forte São Tiago, built in 1614 in order to protect the city from pirate attacks, is one of the main attractions in the charming old area of Funchal known to locals as the “Zona Velha”. During the tour, you will visit to the local city market (exotic fish, flowers and fruits), travel uphill to Monte and downhill in a typical sledge. After the tour stop at Lareira Portuguesa Restaurant and enjoy some Madeiran fish dishes.</p>

<p><strong>Day 10 – FD Porto Moniz</strong></p>
<p>On this tour we set off on an amazing journey through the western part of Madeira. The first stop is the village of Camara de Lobos. The bay with fishing boats, located on the sun-drenched southern slope, is one of the most picturesque places on the island. Here, we will stop at one of the world&#8217;s most famous Madeira wine producers, Henriques &amp; Henriques. Here we will have the opportunity not only to see how this famous wine is stored, but also to taste it. Continuing our journey among banana plantations and vineyards, we rise to a height of 580 meters. Cabo Girão, one of the highest cliffs in Europe, awaits us. Crossing the island from South to North, we get acquainted with the village of Ribeira Brava and along a picturesque old road we climb the central mountain system of Madeira. Next, we make a stop at the famous Encumeada viewpoint, in the Madeira mountains, at an altitude of 1000m. It is an amazing observation deck where you can see both the Northern and Southern coasts at the same time. The village of Sao Vicente is our next stop, which is a small paradise on the northern coast, where neat houses with tiled roofs, green mountains and peaks, often shrouded in clouds, enchant immediately and forever. And finally, we arrive at Porto Moniz, which is famous for its pools, formed by lava flows millions of years ago. You can swim in the pools, have lunch and stroll along the embankment, admiring the surrounding nature. After arrival back in Funchal, finish the day at the Quinta da Casa Branca restaurant and try their inventive, contemporary cuisine.</p>

<p><strong>Day 11 – Sunrise at Pico do Areeiro and Hike at the Caldeirao Verde Levada</strong></p>
<p>Today our tour is special. Get up before dawn and set off to meet a new day. You will first travel towards the Pico do Facho, a place from where we see the vast ocean. Then, Pico do Areeiro where you can breathe in the early morning fresh air as the silence and tranquillity create a special atmosphere, filling your heart with harmony and beauty. Witness Pico do Areeiro´s beautiful sunrise and the birth of a new day. Take in a unique sensation, a charge of emotions and energy here, in Madeira, an island of amazing beauty, nature´s true miracle. Afterwards, enjoy a walk along a Levada, called Caldeirao Verde, which was built in the 18<sup>th</sup> century. It leads through the Laurissilva forest, punctuated by escarpments, mountains and tunnels carved in the rocks. Upon arrival back to Funchal, enjoy a traditional Portuguese dinner with live music in the old town area of the city, at Restaurante de Fado Casa Portuguesa.</p>

<p>Coimbra &#8211; Lisbon</p>
<p>Breakfast at hotel.</p>
<p>Departure towards the riverfront city of Coimbra, a well-kept medieval longstanding town, famous for its University and it´s baroque library (inaugurated in the 14th century). Here we will get acquainted with city including the Juderia dating back to 1139 and the University complex. On our way back to Lisbon we will stop in Obidos- a medieval town with picturesque cobblestones streets lined with colorful houses &#8211; all encircled by the walls of a 12th century Castle. Arrival in Lisbon. In the evening, Dinner in Lisbon at a Fado Restaurant where you can enjoy a typical&#8221; Fado Show&#8221; Overnight Lisbon.</p>

<p>Day 3</p>
<p>Lisbon, Sintra &#8211; Lisbon</p>
<p>Breakfast at hotel.</p>
<p>During our morning tour of Lisbon we will visit the Alfama Quarter, including the &#8220;Judaria Grande&#8221;- in one of the city&#8217;s oldest areas where a large Jewish Community flourished in the Middle ages. We will then drive to city of Sintra a World Heritage site known as &#8220;Lord Byron&#8217;s Glorious Eden,once the summer residence of the Royalty of Portugal. We will then visit a Royal Palace whose origins date back to the 15th century. Return to Lisbon. Evening services followed by a Shabat dinner.</p>

<p>Day 4</p>
<p>Evora, Castelo de Vide, overnight in Belmonte at a Kosher hotel. Dinner at hotel</p>

<p>Departure from Lisbon. Our first stop is Evora- where the local Jewry was one of the largest in the country up to the 15th century. Tour of the Historic center and the Jewish Quarter. Continuing, we arrive at the Castelo de Vide where we will visit the authentic Medieval Juderia and the 15th Century Synagogue that was recently restored. Here, we will learn all about the Jews of Castelo de Vide who were forced to convert to Catholicism. Nearby, the impressive fortress town of Marvao served as an entry point to the thousands of Jews who fled Spain in the 14th and 15th centuries. Overnight the Castelo de Vide area.</p>

<p>Day 5</p>
<p>Belmonte, Guarda &#8211; Porto  &#8211; overnight in Porto, Kosher Hotel. Dinner at Hotel.</p>
<p>Breakfast at Hotel. Following breakfast, departure from Porto to the town of Belmonte which has preserved it&#8217;s Jewish past and is a community of some hundreds of &#8221; Marranos&#8221; who have decided to make their way back to their Jewish Roots. The tour will include the Jewish Quarter that was situated outside the castle walls. In this quarter we will get to see houses with crosses engraved in stone close to the doors labeling those particular houses as inhabited by &#8220;New Christians&#8221;, who were forcibly baptized and publicly followed Catholic rituals but in the privacy of their own homes maintained their Jewish religion. We will visit the Jewish Museum and Synagogue. Next, we continue to Guarda where Jews first began to settle in the middle of the 13th century and it´s old Jewish quarter is a reminder of that period. Overnight in Guarda.</p>

<p>Day 7</p>
<p>Breakfast at Hotel and return to Oporto</p>
<p>Hotel da Música 4* &#8211; Oporto</p>
<p>Located right in the heart of Oporto, in Boavista, and nearby the Kadoorie Mekor Haim Synagogue, the 4 star Hotel da Música is the Kosher hotel of Oporto and includes a Kosher restaurant inside! As part of a project coordinated by the Oporto Rabbi, Daniel Litvak, whose supervision is recognized by the Grand Rabbinate of Israel, the project involved a new kitchen and rigorous training of the hotel employees, so that they are able to welcome and cater to Jewish tourists. Dinner at hotel.</p>

<p>Day 8</p>
<p>Tour Oporto – There is no speaking about Oporto without referring the name of Captain Barros Basto known as the &#8220;Portuguese Dreyfus&#8221;. Born from a Marrano family, he converted himself to Judaism and was the man who tried to bring back to Judaism the numerous Marrano Communities hidden all over the North of Portugal. This was the reason why he went to martial court and dismissed from the army. We will start off the tour with a visit the Kadoorie Synagogue, Oporto´s Historical Center- a UNESCO World Heritage and the beautiful Bolsa Palace. In the afternoon we will embark on a short cruise on the Douro River. Overnight Oporto.</p>

<p><strong>Day 1 &#8211; </strong>Arrival in Lisbon. Meeting with the guide. Transfer and accommodation in a chosen hotel. The guide will orientate you in Lisbon.</p>
<p><strong>Day 2 &#8211; </strong>Half-day Tour in Lisbon. Breakfast at hotel. Meet the town of Alfama, a medieval neighbourhood with a stunning XII century Cathedral (birthplace of one of the most popular Portuguese saints &#8211; Santo Antonio), get acquainted with downtown Alfama, a bustling shopping district, built according to a geometric plan, after the 1755 earthquake. Continue along the main avenue &#8211; Avenida da Liberdade.</p>
<p>Next stop, Belém, located at the banks of the Tagus River. It was here that the Portuguese caravels, during the era of geographic discoveries, departed from in search of the “New World”. Belém is also known for its monuments of the Portuguese golden period: the magnificent Monastery (Mosteiro dos Jeronimos), where the remains of Vasco da Gama and King Manuel I are kept, the Belem Tower built primarily to protect against pirate attacks and also the Monument of the Discoveries, a memorial to the pioneering Portuguese navigators. Dinner accompanied by Fado (a Portuguese music genre inscribed in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Lists).</p>
<p><strong>DAY 3 – </strong>Departure from Lisbon. Full day tour to Sintra and Cabo da Roca. The tour starts in Sintra, a magical city, which became a favourite resort area of the aristocracy in the eighteenth century. Here you&#8217;ll discover the &#8220;esoteric&#8221; world of Quinta da Regaleira, an estate from the early XX century classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO within the &#8220;Cultural Landscape of Sintra” known for its palace and park.</p>
<p>The secret symbols found on property will intrigue you throughout the day. You will get an opportunity to visit the Pena National Palace (Palácio Nacional da Pena), a romanticist palace that resembles a fairy tale castle, which emerged from a pile of granite stones and combining nearly all architectural styles. The palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal. Lunch at a restaurant in Sintra. Next stop is Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe, where &#8220;the land ends and the sea begins.&#8221; Acommodation in the 4 * Hotel in Ericeira by the ocean.</p>
<p><strong>Day 4 – </strong>Move to Coimbra through the cities of Obidos / Alcobaça / Batalha / Nazaré.</p>
<p>Óbidos is surrounded by castle walls, which embraces many traditional shopping streets with picturesque houses, adorned with roses and wisteria. Inside the castle gates, the locals organize tournaments of knights, a Chocolate Festival, and before Christmas a Santa Claus town is recreated. Continuing, we reach Nazaré, once a small fishing village and now a city famous not only for being a good fishing point, but also for its beautiful beaches, and unique local folk costumes. Photo-shoot at the viewpoints of Nazaré, where USA surfer MacNamara achieved A Guinness World record in 2011 on a 23,77 m high wave. visit to the monastery of Alcobaça (Mosteiro daAlcobaça), one of the oldest Cistercian abbeys in Portugal, where the tombs of the protagonists of the most famous love story of Portugal, King Pedro I and his mistress Inês de Castro are located. Next stop is at the Batalha Monastery (Mosteiro da Batalha) which was built in honor of the Portuguese victory against the Castilians in the fourteenth century and is an example of Gothic style grandeur of Portugal, with its stunning tracery.</p>
<p>Last but not least, Coimbra. Coimbra is a very charming city, with its unique atmosphere of student living. Above the city stands the oldest university in the country (the former Royal Palace), where a famous Baroque library is located.Narrow streets will take you to the Old Cathedral and through the arch the Arab city of Almedina you will find yourself downtown, where part of the city&#8217;s commerce is located as well as the Church of Santa Cruz, where the remains of the first Portuguese King, D. Afonso Henriques, remain. Overnight in 4* hotel.</p>
<p><strong>Day 5 </strong><strong>– </strong>Departure from Coimbra. Today we&#8217;ll drive to Lamego where you will see a unique granite staircase, flanked with a panel of tiles, leading up to the church of Our Lady of Remedies (Nossa Senhora dos Remédios). We then continue on to Régua, the &#8220;Capital of Port wine.&#8221; It is here, in the picturesque region of the Douro Valley, included in UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the grapes that give rise to port wine are grown. Pretty soon you may taste them. Accommodation at 4* Hotel.</p>
<p><strong>Day 6 &#8211; </strong>First we will go on a picturesque walk in the city center of Oporto, the &#8220;northern capital&#8221; of the country. You will be amazed with its heritage &#8211; a “train palace &#8220;known as the São Bento train station (Estação de São Bento) decorated with stunning tile panels, the highest Baroque tower of the city, the Catedral dos Clérigos ( designed by Nazoni) and its small medieval streets, adorned with stone houses.</p>
<p>At the end of the tour we arrive at the Ribeira area , a scenic drive along the Douro River, where we will encounter two well-known bridges (specifically the Maria Pia Bridge, built by Eiffel). A visit is scheduled at the cellars (where Port is stored and aged) which include a taste of this famous Portuguese wine.</p>
<p><strong>Day 7 &#8211;</strong> Full-day tour of the “Green Minho” Breakfast. A full day tour in the picturesque Portuguese province of the &#8220;Green Minho &#8220;, the northern part of the country. First stop is in Guimarães, the first capital of the Portuguese kingdom, the city where&#8221; Portugal was born” recognized by UNESCO as a medieval World Heritage Site. Walk past beautiful traditional houses and on the granite pavement of the old town, past the castle to the Santiago Square (Praça de Santiago) which brings us to the church of Nossa Senhora da Oliveira, where you will feel the true spirit of the Middle Ages. Continue on to Braga.<br />
This city was designed by the many nations that have passed by in Iberia: Celts, Romans, Suevi, Visigoths, and more, and from all of them, you can find traces. You will find virtually all architectural styles, but in particular Portuguese Baroque. One of the most striking buildings of this style is the Bom Jesus complex (Merciful Jesus). A temple with a majestic granite staircase that leads to the hill flanked by fountains and sculptures with Gospel theme stories. These stairs are considered one of the 10 most beautiful staircases in the world.</p>
<p>Next stop, Viana do Castelo. On the way, you will have the opportunity to taste the famous vinho verde “green wine “made only in the &#8220;Princess of the River Lima&#8221; region. The bank of the Lima River was associated with the construction of the famous Portuguese caravels. Be sure not to miss out on the Byzantine Basilica of Santa Luzia which offers a breathtaking panorama of endless sandy beaches.</p>
<p>Accommodation in a unique 5 * hotel Pousada Viana do Castelo &#8211; Monte Santa Lusia in Viana do Castelo.</p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 8 &#8211; </strong>A day in Galicia Galicia is one of the most picturesque regions of Spain, in the most emblematic place of pilgrimage &#8211; Santiago de Compostela. A wonderful city, with medieval streets paved with granite, built around the cathedral, after the miraculous discovery of the remains of the Apostle James, receiving pilgrims from around the world. Leisure time. Return to Portugal and accommodation in Aveiro, the Portuguese Venice.<strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>Day 9 &#8211;</strong> Sightseeing tour of Aveiro. Aveiro &#8211; &#8220;Portuguese Venice&#8221; &#8211; this is the name of this city, entangled in a network of canals, which have long been used to move on traditional multi-colored boats resembling gondolas. Houses and mansions of the early twentieth century, decorated with tiles in the Art Nouveau style, are cozy along the canals. Departure from Aveiro to Lisbon via Tomar and Fatima.</p>
<p>Tomar, the city of Knights, we arrive at the Convent of the Order of Christ (Convento de Cristo), built and rebuilt over several centuries. Here you can enjoy the elegance of the &#8220;Manueline&#8221; style with its striking ex-libris, its famous chapterhouse window.The Convent of the Order of Christ in Tomar is one of Portugal&#8217;s most important historical and artistic monuments and has been in the World Heritage list of UNESCO since 1983.</p>
<p>Following Tomar, we arrive at Fatima &#8211; the city that became a place of worship of Christian believers after 1917, when Mary, the Mother of God appeared to three shepherds. Today, Fatima is regarded as the &#8220;altar of the World&#8221;, and is visited annually by hundreds of thousands of pilgrims from different countries. Return to the Lisbon coast, to stay at a hotel by the sea.</p>
<p><strong>Day 10 &#8211; </strong>Leisure time. Departure transfer to the Lisbon Airport</p>
