The Yeatman is a luxury wine hotel based in Oporto that aims to provide guests with the very best authentic experience of the city, Port and Portuguese wines.

It will expose guests to the culture and charm of Portugal as well as promoting the pairing of great wines and food.

It aims to redefine the hotel landscape of Oporto and become a reference for quality.

The Yeatman aims to define the destination of Oporto for guests. Where other five star hotels may exist in the city The Yeatman will be different as it will offer guests a complete, authentic package.
The hotel is set in 7 acre of grounds with only 82 rooms, each with at least 36 square meters of space. Every room overlooks the Douro river and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Oporto. As a new build it has defined its style as relaxed luxury,a mix of English country house with Portuguese influences. It has been constructed on a scale that emphasizes its position as a city retreat whilst incorporating the latest energy saving and environmentally friendly technology.
The Yeatman has an award winning chef who will provide the best pairings of food and wine. It is supported by the best of the Portuguese Wine industry who have been invited to decorate individual bedrooms there by creating individuality.
The Vinotherpie Spa by Caudalie will become a haven of relaxation as will the various infinity pools in the hotel. At every turn The Yeatman provides unparrelled views of the city of Oporto.
The Yeatman is a city retreat, a family home in extensive gardens that will be a haven of tranquillity within the city.

The architect of The Yeatman, Victor Miranda, has been a long term employee of The Fladgate Partnership and involved in many of its projects, including The Vintage House Hotel.
Victor has worked closely with Adrian Bridge to bring together a project that creates the best luxury for guests whilst remaining in harmony with the hillside location.

Interior Design

The London based company RPW lead by Jan Wilson worked closely with Gillyane Robertson, wife of non-Executive Chairman Alistair, to bring the interiors to life. Gilly is fond of bright colours and this brings a great deal of freshness to The Yeatman. As most rooms have been built to maximize the views of the city the challenge has been to decorate the remaining three walls of any room to provide warmth and character. This has been achieved with extensive use of natural material.
